Guest reefer Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 Hi all,Going to france next week on hols. Can anyone recommend good haedlight beam deflectors for use in France ?.Ford TIS gives some drawings to mask out sections of the headlights but seems complicated to me, easier buying ready made deflectors, cheersreefer Quote
Richmond Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 I couldn't find any defectors which looked remotely like the Ford template (they're all the same shape more or less), so I made some from a paper backed metallic tape; total pain in the arse, but they worked fine. Someone on this forum suggested sticking the deflectors on to headlamp covers and keeping those for continental travel, which seems like a good wheeze. I don't know how critical the shape of the deflectors is; I assume that the correct shape (or something close) is needed. Quote
suzuki91 Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 i bought some deflecters on the ferry, but did'nt use them.look in the small shop by the information desk. Quote
italiastar Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 If you have the TIS i'd use that. I have got a set of covers with them stuck on. Interestingly, when I picked up my wife's Fabia this morning, the salesperson said they sell covers specfically for continental driving. Quote
